I love this video which follows the harrowing path of a lizard in the desert trying to escape the  wrath of a swarm of snakes trying to catch him.

To me, the tension that’s depicted closely parallels the experience of a change leader. The leader musters up the energy needed to scurry forward, but is constantly looking back at the threats that may take him down. He tries pausing for a moment (maybe if I stop moving, no one will notice me!) but it soon becomes evident that course of action could be dangerous, indeed.

Armed with steely courage, a deep sense of purpose and a clear path forward, he resolutely forges ahead left exhausted, exhilarated, and largely unscathed.
